“Escape Artists” is a series of posts meant to inspire you. In this series, I profile people I’ve directly influenced who have succeeded in escaping their own personal prisons. I hope reading their stories will help you succeed in your own escape.
Name: Jason O’Neil
Resides: Jacksonville, FL, USA
History: We met in December 2013
When Jason first approached me back in December of 2013 he was broke, in the dumps, and eager to make a big change in his life.
I had not only been in his shoes before, but I’d also worked closely with people like Jason for so many years at that point that it had become second nature to accurately predict their outcomes. I instantly felt good about Jason and knew that he had the right drive and desire to do big things.
He was definitely going to escape the financial and time prison he was in… it was just a matter of time. He just needed a good plan to start with, and a shove in the right direction.
At the time, I was the #1 promoter of a popular e-commerce affiliate program. Along with my private resources and coaching, members learned how to make money in e-commerce without experience, a store, or even inventory. I had several friends and family members who had never made a dime on the Internet, totally KILLING it within a few months by simply following the directions I gave them. So I knew this would be a good fit for Jason.
Jason told me that he was going to do whatever it took to get to $40 per day (profit) in his first 30 days. That was his goal. But I knew he’d make a whole lot more.
Hitting your goal is not enough. Goals are simply distance markers, plotted out at a time when you have no idea how far and how fast you’re capable of going. Once you hit your goal, that just means it’s time to guess again.
As expected, he colored inside the lines and surpassed that goal within his first 30 days.
More importantly, he was hungry and turned his efforts up a notch during the times when others would normally skate by or give up.
Within a few months he had done so well that I invited him to speak at an event and share his “secrets” in front of nearly 1000 people. Like everything else I threw at him, he crushed it.
Before long, he started to gain a following and developed an incredibly personal and authentic brand for himself. People are attracted to success, and Jason is great at systemizing his and sharing it with the world.
He started his company, Outsourced Lifestyle, towards the end of 2014. In 2015, as of this writing, he’s blown through $1M in sales (actually just hit $2M the other day!!!), and has helped at least FOUR other people do the same (and countless others make great livings) through his member training system.
The best part of this story though is that Jason has purposely built his business to run without him. He is truly free to do what he wants each day, and now he CAN.
If you want to learn more about Jason or his company – he runs an informative webinar that you can check out here: Outsourced Lifestyle (I do earn affiliate commissions if you click and decide to learn from Jason. If that bothers you, feel free to go there directly)
