Personal post today!
I LOVE MY FAMILY AND “Time off”
The last couple days have been a ton of fun for us. We flew my mom in from California to hang out with us for a week, my brother and a few friends fly in tomorrow. The huge Empower Network “Release Your Inner Badass” event is this weekend so my mom will be here with our boys while my wife and I attend the event.
My entire family lives in California, and we haven’t seen them in a couple years now (FAR too long!). I’m the oldest of 9 kids in my family…so there are LOTS of Hoenickes!
We’re wanting to take great care of my mom, and what’s be so awesome during the 2 days she’s been here so far is:
–She hasn’t paid for ANYTHING
–We’ve packed our time with really fun stuff
–I’ve had about $800 come in automatically while we’ve been playing!
Family time is more fun when you’re able to do really nice things…whatever you feel like doing, and …as the provider, you feel like it’d be pretty hard to spend more than you’ve got coming in in the background! What a feeling!
We’ve eaten at a few great restaurants here in town since she arrived…last night we checked out “Gordoughs’ Public House” for the first time and enjoyed “big fat donuts”…holy cow did we!

It’s been fun showing my mom around Austin – we may have had the sun in our eyes for this shot with the skyline and Town Lake in the background:

After enjoying a nice long walk on the downtown trail, we went to Zilker park and rode the Zilker train!

And after that we went to Phil’s Ice House on South Lamar:

Next time you come to Austin with family…..
You’ve GOT to try the 78704 burger at Phil’s Ice House. One of the top 2 burgers available in all of Austin. Do it. If you visit the one on South Lamar, make sure you leave room for dessert…the best ice cream, shakes and malts in town are available under the same roof, at Amy’s Ice Cream!
After all of this, we still had time for a family chiropractic appointment!

That’s my 5 year old getting his 2nd or 3rd adjustment (can’t remember), but his first adjustment in a long while. Good stuff. My 8 year old was adjusted as well but I forgot to grab the camera!

Two days of family fun….
Lots of great new family memories made…
Well…off to make more memories as we experience our first Empower Network event ever! We’ve qualified in the top 60 affiliates in the company (of over 75,000 affiliates!) and have been here only 3.5 months. Very grateful and eager to continue progressing!
